More recently we have seen a rise in popularity of the ever classic Solitaire Diamond Engagement Ring.
So the next question is, what wedding ring will go with this timeless style engagement ring?
I'll outline a few examples which should cover most tastes, styles and budgets. Of course, we would love to welcome you to either our Kilkenny or Dublin Showrooms to go through our full collection of wedding rings. You can make an appointment for a wedding ring consultation here
With a classic style like the above ring, you have a huge amount of choice in the type of wedding ring you go for. Things to consider are:
1. Do you want diamonds or would you rather keep it plain and simple?
2. To help make the above decision, ask yourself how hard wearing do you want the ring to be? Small diamonds in wedding bands need TLC whereas a plain wedding ring will stand up to alot more wear and tear.
3. Can you wear your diamond wedding ring to work? Some professions like nursing *(good time to mention we offer 10% discount to HSE staff!) can't wear any stone set jewellery so maybe a plain wedding band is a better option for you.
4. Would you like something completely unique and ornate? Talk to us about having a bespoke ring made to go alongside your ring. We draw up the design on CAD so that you can see what the ring will look like. We can also laser scan your own engagement ring so that you can see what they will look like together.
The same goes for solitaire rings made in yellow gold. You can of course mix and match your metal colours. For example you could for an all diamond 18ct white gold wedding ring alongside your yellow gold engagement ring to make the diamonds really stand out.
All of our wedding rings can be made in the metal of your choice, 18ct yellow gold, rose gold or white gold or Platinum.
There's alot to be said however for a classic plain band like this one below which is timeless, hard wearing and a perfect heirloom. It's a good option also if you are thinking of adding an eternity ring to the same hand in years to come.
We are also noticing a trend in Wishbone diamond wedding rings which are oh so flattering on the finger and can really compliment a solitaire diamond engagement ring.
Lastly, to point out, there is no right or wrong wedding ring when it comes to matching a solitaire diamond engagement ring. We are on hand to help you choose what's best for your personality and style while at the same time bringing the most out in your engagement ring.
Enjoy this lovely time in your lives and feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
